Trade with the EU
The association agreement between the EU and Egypt keeps industrial goods tariff-free and gives agriculture preferential access, with origin documentation arranged once with the exporting side. The Dutch entity adds three things: Article 23 on imports (the import rule), compliance duties for the importer (the duties and the wider compliance file), and Rotterdam’s port infrastructure.
The Dutch BV as your European company
With a Dutch BV, the group becomes a European seller. EU customers can sign contracts with a company in the EU, and marketplaces can check the company in the register. Distributors also negotiate differently with a supplier based in the EU. See selling in the EU with your own company. For the bank, you prepare the standard file: an ownership chart, an explanation of incoming and outgoing payments, and proof of the source of funds. See the bank onboarding file.

Families that keep a business, real estate and investments together in one structure use a family office. In the Netherlands, it is set up with a holding company and a foundation that issues depositary receipts (STAK). See a family office in the Netherlands for how this works.
Family rules and the next generation
The Dutch setup matches family logic. The holding pools European positions under the exemption (how a holding works). The STAK separates control from economic ownership across branches (the STAK explained). A next-generation family member can relocate to lead the European business under the group’s own sponsorship, using the visa option and the household map.
