Duty-free access under GSP+

Under GSP+, Pakistan has duty-free access for its most important export products, above all textiles. You need documents that prove the origin, and the EU monitors whether Pakistan meets the standards of the scheme. The access is fixed. You decide which company imports the goods.

Home textiles and denim

EU retailers buy in programmes. They want repeat deliveries from EU stock, the same quality every time and one contract partner. The BV (besloten vennootschap, the Dutch private limited company) is the supplier in these programmes. At import, you use Article 23. The BV keeps stock in a warehouse for short EU delivery times. It handles textile labelling and the coming EPR duties in its own name. See the sector article.

Surgical instruments

Surgical instruments from Sialkot fall under the EU rules for medical devices. An EU entity must take on the importer role, the registrations and the duties to monitor and report incidents (vigilance). With your own BV, your group takes on these roles itself.

Compare the Netherlands with Ireland and Germany on tax, substance, running costs and time. See setting up a Dutch subsidiary for a foreign parent company.

Setup from Karachi or Lahore

The BV can be 100% Pakistani-owned, and you can set it up remotely. For the bank account, prepare the complete file and start with a description of your trade.
