The apostille. Notarial documents and powers of attorney are apostilled by the district court (okrožno sodišče) of the notary’s district. You can also go directly to the Ministry of Justice in Ljubljana. The court can apostille a scanned version for electronic use as well.

Good to know. A court interpreter’s translation can only be apostilled by the Ministry of Justice. Keep an electronically apostilled document as a file, because it is only valid in electronic form.
If a company from Slovenia becomes a shareholder
Register extract, at most three months old: AJPES, the Slovenian business register. Order an extract (izpisek) showing directors and members. For use abroad, have it issued on paper with a signature and stamp, or apostilled electronically through eSodstvo. Plus articles, signing authority and ownership chart.
Slovenia: business register and trade
The Slovenian Business Register (Poslovni register Slovenije) is online at the website of the Agency of the Republic of Slovenia for Public Legal Records and Related Services.
The same agency owns and maintains the insolvency databases e-INSOLV and e-Publications, with data since 1 October 2008. Access is free of charge after registration as a user.
Through the Business Registers Interconnection System, requests on the European e-Justice Portal cover only information that national registers provide free of charge. Paid documents are ordered on the national register's website, which gives the final price.
Provisional figures for 2025 show goods exports from the Netherlands to Slovenia of €2.1 billion and imports from Slovenia of €890 million.
