Passport copy, certified by a notary in Slovakia.
Proof of address in Slovakia, at most three months old.
Power of attorney. Sign the power of attorney before a Slovak notár. The notary must certify the signature personally. If an office employee certifies it, the court refuses the apostille.

The apostille. Notarial documents and powers of attorney are apostilled by the Regional Court (Krajský súd) for the district where the notary is. Documents from other courts are apostilled by the Ministry of Justice. Administrative documents are apostilled by the ministry responsible, or else by the Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs.

Good to know. A register extract from a post office counter is valid only inside Slovakia. Get it from the court or a notary. The regional court also apostilles translations by a court-appointed translator.
If a company from Slovakia becomes a shareholder
Register extract, at most three months old: Obchodný register (ORSR). For use abroad, order the extract from the district or regional court or from a notary. Extracts from the post office are for use in Slovakia only. The regional court then apostilles it. Plus articles, signing authority and ownership chart.
Slovakia: business register and trade
Slovakia's commercial register is kept by registry courts: the district courts at the seat of each regional court. The Ministry of Justice of the Slovak Republic manages its technical side. The register was established in 1992, after the adoption of the Commercial Code.
The commercial register and the document registry are available to everybody, and the search is available in Slovak and English. Access and extracts are subject to a fee.
Electronic extracts and electronic copies of deposited documents, however, are issued free of charge on request. So are electronic confirmations that a document is absent from the document registry. The same documents are also free through the Business Registers Interconnection System.
In 2025, the Netherlands exported goods worth €2.3 billion to Slovakia and imported goods worth €1.7 billion from Slovakia, according to provisional figures.
