If a company from Argentina becomes a shareholder
Register extract, at most three months old: Inspección General de Justicia (Buenos Aires) or the provincial Registro Público. Order a certified copy of the statutes and the current appointment of directors. For a limited company (in Argentina an S.R.L.), the partners are listed in the contract. Plus articles, signing authority and ownership chart.
Trade between Argentina and the EU
In 2025, trade in goods between Argentina and the European Union (EU) totalled €17.9 billion, with an EU surplus of about €1.4 billion. The EU was Argentina's third-biggest trading partner that year, after Brazil and China, with 12.4% of its trade.
Around two thirds of Argentina's exports to the EU in 2025 were agricultural products, over half of them oilseeds and protein crops, mainly soy. Machinery and transport equipment made up 40.9% of EU exports to Argentina that year, and chemical products 25%.
In 2024 the EU bought services worth €3.3 billion from Argentina and sold €6.6 billion. The EU is the largest source of foreign direct investment in Argentina, with stocks of €51.9 billion in 2024.
A Framework Trade and Economic Co-operation Agreement has governed relations since 1990. The EU-Mercosur Interim Trade Agreement, signed on 17 January 2026, has applied provisionally since 1 May 2026.
