Proof of address in Albania, at most three months old.
Power of attorney. Sign the power of attorney before an Albanian noter. The Office of Authentications in Tirana then apostilles the notary’s signature, usually in 1 to 2 working days.

Trade between Albania and the EU
In 2025, trade in goods between the European Union (EU) and Albania came to €7.2 billion: EU exports of €4.7 billion and imports of €2.5 billion. The EU is Albania's main trading partner, with 57.0% of its trade in goods and 68.6% of its exports in 2025.
Miscellaneous manufactured articles made up 42.7% of EU imports from Albania in 2025. Machinery and transport equipment led EU exports at 22.9%, ahead of manufactured goods classified by material at 19.1%.
Under the Stabilisation and Association Agreement, in force since April 2009, most goods have duty-free access both ways. Total foreign direct investment from the EU reached €690 million in 2023.
Albania applied for EU membership in April 2009 and became a candidate country in June 2014. Accession negotiations started in July 2022. By 13 October 2026, Albania had opened all 33 screened chapters and provisionally closed 4.
