What a microloan is
A microloan is a smaller business loan, typically up to several tens of thousands of euros, aimed at starters and small businesses for whom regular bank credit stays hard to reach. Qredits also offers an SME loan for slightly larger amounts. Coaching is often part of the package.
When a microloan fits
- You are starting or in the first years of a business.
- The bank declines, often because a track record is missing.
- You need a manageable amount to start, invest or smooth cashflow.
- You have a realistic business plan and the ability to repay.
What to prepare before applying
- A clear business plan with the financial part fully worked out.
- A startup budget and a revenue and cost forecast.
- A personal budget showing what you need to live on.
- Your KVK registration and personal details.
The application process
- Apply online with your plan and financials.
- An adviser reviews the application and often asks for a conversation.
- If approved, you receive an offer with the rate, term and conditions.
- You sign, the loan is paid out, and you begin repayments according to schedule.
The coaching dimension
Qredits also offers coaches for starters. A coach can help with the plan, sharpen your thinking, and improve your chances of both approval and success. For a first-time entrepreneur, this is often as valuable as the money.
Be realistic about what you borrow
A microloan is real debt. Borrow only what your plan shows you can comfortably repay, even in a slower-than-expected first year. Cheap money beyond your repayment capacity is the most expensive money there is.
