What the treaty settles

Three jobs, one text: it decides where profits are taxable (the permanent-establishment article draws the line between selling into a country and being established there), it caps withholding on dividends, interest and royalties between the two states, and it provides the tiebreaker and mutual-agreement machinery that keeps double taxation an administrative event rather than a cost. Agri-trade, energy and family capital keep this corridor busy – with the Dutch entity as the stable EU counterparty through Argentina’s macro seasons.

The route to qualification

Treaty benefits are claimed rather than granted: a residence certificate refreshed yearly, the reduction applied at source instead of reclaimed after, and substance behind the claiming entity — office, administration, decisions where the paperwork says: the Dutch holding explained, substance and treaty access and Dutch dividend tax 2026.
